Frequently Asked Questions

Is Nested Roots a group of employees or one person?

Currently Nested Roots Senior Support is owned and operated by one person. My name is Valerie and I’m a Therapeutic Recreation Practitioner (learn what that means here!). Some advantages of being a single employee include better communication with no details falling through the cracks, the ability to foster strong relationships through consistency, and guaranteed quality of care.

What area do you serve?

Nested Roots Senior Support business license covers the Tri-Cities, BC. This includes Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam.

Are you insured?

Yes, Nested Roots has comprehensive liability coverage. This means we can handle any surprises or unexpected situations, giving both parties peace of mind and protection.

Can you administer medication, bathe, or feed my loved one?

I am not a PSW (Personal Support Worker) or Care Aide, so unfortunately these tasks aren't within my scope of services. For details on what services Nested Roots does offer, please click here!

What happens if you’re sick or the weather is bad?

If I’m feeling unwell, the weather is inclement, or an emergency arises I will contact my client or their family as soon as possible.  I will do my best to reschedule a new visit that works for both of us. If that is not possible, we will resume our regular schedule as soon as we can. Unfortunately, life can be unpredictable at times and I appreciate your understanding if a visit occasionally needs to be rescheduled.

Can you do overnights?

My schedule is Monday-Friday, roughly 9am-4pm. Occasionally a weekend spot can be available. At this time, I do not offer overnight home visits.

Where can I read reviews?

Feel free to check out my Google reviews here. If you'd like a direct referral from a current client, I'm happy to arrange that for you as well.
